What is a Septic System?

A septic system, is a small scale sewage treatment system common in areas with no connection to main sewerage pipes provided by private corporations or local governments. Septic systems are a type of On-Site Sewage Facility (OSSF). In North America approximately 25% of the population relies on septic tanks; this can include suburbs and small towns as well as rural areas.

Common signs of failure:

Gurgling sounds coming from your drains or pipes

Sewage backing into your toilets or drains

Slow draining sinks and tubs
* Unusual foul and offensive odors around the septic tank

Common causes of system failure:

Roots growing into the tank or lines

Broken or blocked pipe(s) between the house and the septic tank
* Blocked septic tank inlet or outlet

Early detection of problems can save you thousands of dollars! Our inspection consist of introducing dye into the system and tracing it to check for problem areas. This is an accepted and approved test. Upon passing the inspection, we will issue you an Inspection Approval Report that is accepted by most lending companies.
